This is an open call for student volunteers for HCI Professionals Association of India (HCIPAI SV). This call is open for applications till December 15, 2023.

BENEFITS OF BECOMING AN HCIPAI SV

• Opportunity to contribute to the HCI community in India
• Opportunity to interact with some of the top industry practitioners and academicians
• Getting listed on the HCIPAI Volunteers Page
• Free student registration for India HCI 2024 in Mumbai, India from November 7-9, 2024 (check dates, location etc. here: https://www.2024.indiahci.org/)
• Priority for free student accommodation (this is not a commitment yet, but the organisers of India HCI will try their best to arrange for free student accommodation for HCIPAI SVs during India HCI 2024)
• Invitation to Student Volunteers dinner (usually planned for the last day of the India HCI conference)
• After completing the SVship, you will get a certificate from HCIPAI and a listing on the HCIPAI student volunteers page.

Who can apply?

Any person who is and will be a full-time university student at any level (undergraduate, post-graduate or PhD) till December 2024 can apply to become a HCIPAI SV. In addition, you should have skills to perform some of the volunteering tasks listed below. It is not necessary to be a student in India or to be located within India. We will seek to create a diverse group of HCIPAI SVs, including gender, educational background, location and age diversities.

Commitment as an HCIPAI Student Volunteer

• Work approximately 50 hours, which could be from January 1 to December 31, 2024.
• Be a professional (check emails regularly, show up on time to tasks, inform well in advance if you are not going to finish your task, try to get someone to back you up in case you will be missing out)
• Attend an orientation session in early January 2024
