Designing with smell for impactful storytelling

About the talk: Olfaction has rarely been explored in the context of deciphering information and consuming narratives but is a major part of our everyday experience. It has been long associated with deep memories and it evokes a deep emotional and culturally relevant response. These qualities provide storytellers with the ability to truly resonate with users. This talk will delve into showcasing and discussing how to design with smells to narrate impactful and evocative storytelling through smell technology.

Biography: Kadambari is an International award-winning Designer and a Design Leader, working as SVP design at ValueLabs. She founded the User Experience Group at ValueLabs and is currently leading 50+ designers to create world-class and award-winning products and services to positively impact businesses and societies. She is the founder of Sniffing out the differences collective and the Design Inspire Platform. She has also been part of many international fellowships and grants, and her work and leadership have received over 140+ awards including Red dot awards, Communication Arts, IBA Stevie’s Creative Executive of the year 2021 and many others. Apart from being the co-chair for Interaction Design Awards 2022 by IxDA, she is an international speaker on design and has given talks at many design conferences such as Interaction 20, Interaction 18, UXindia, etc.
