Have you ever wondered how certain products stand out in the market space or certain services are sought after and we are even ready to pay a premium for it! That is the power of the Last 2% - something that makes an iPhone or an Oberoi stand out from others in their market space.
It is spotting and addressing the unstated requirements that differentiates one product from the rest. Most of the products/services are very similar if not identical, which means 98% of the features are the same. It is the last 2% that creates an affinity for the customer to use one particular product/service. This is possible only through detailing … right from wearing the hat of a cartographer to wearing the hat of a detective.
Arun’s keynote speech will provide an insight into the design mind and practitioner’s tips on Design Thinking techniques/applications to focus on the last 2% effort which will give 200% experience to our customers.
Arun Jain is the Founder of Polaris Group and Chairman & Managing Director of Intellect Design Arena Limited, the world’s first full spectrum Fintech Products Company. Intellect powers over 240 leading Global Banks and Financial Institutions, with a revenue of INR 1499 Crores (USD 202 Mn) and an employee base of over 4500. Arun commenced his entrepreneurial journey by setting up Nucleus Software Workshop in 1986, Polaris Software in 1993 and Intellect in 2011.
As an evangelist of Design Thinking, his brainchild - FinTech 8012, the World’s First Design Center at Chennai dedicated to Financial Technology came into being. With the constant drive to better the community around him, he instituted Mission Samriddhi – a social impact enterprise dedicated to holistic human development in India through the unique philosophy of Celebrate-Connect-Catalyse; Ullas Trust – a social impact organisation working towards igniting less privileged young minds into realizing their true potential.
Arun has been nominated as the Chairperson of the Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi, Jharkhand, India by Hon'ble President of India, for a period of three years with effect from 2nd Sept 2020. He has also been entrusted with the responsibility of the Chief Mentor of the FinTech Centre of Excellence at STPI, Chennai, Govt. of India. He was bestowed with Dronacharya Award 2019 by TiECON Chennai. Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award. Arun holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering.
